Jorge Queiroz (Lisbon, 1966) studied at Ar.Co – Centro de Arte e Comunicação Visual, Lisbon (1992-93), and completed a Masters in Fine Arts at the School of Visual Arts, New York in 1999. His exhibition trajectory includes the following solo shows: O Caso, Pavilhão Branco, Museu da Cidade, Lisbon (2015), Debaixo das Pedras da calçada a Praia!, Carmona e Costa Foundation, Lisbon (2012), Donnerstag e outros desenhos, Chiado 8 – Arte Contemporanêa, Culturgest, Lisbon (2010), Serralves Museum of Contemporary Art, Porto (2007), What paper can support, Horst-Janssen-Museum, Oldenburg (2006) and Jorge Queiroz, Künstlerhaus Bethanien, Berlin (2004). He has participated in such group shows as: Les Dix ans du Prix de dessin de la Fondation d’art contemporain Daniel & Florence Guerlain, Centre Pompidou, Paris, France  (2017); Incorporated !, Biennale d’art contemporain, Les Ateliers de Rennes (2016), Nouvelles Impressions de Raymond Roussel, Palais de Tokyo, Paris (2013), Of Mice and Men, 4th  Berlin Biennale (2006), Território Livre, 26th  São Paulo Biennale (2004) and Clandestine, 50th Venice Biennale (2003). He received the AICA Award for the Visual Arts 2015.
