Marko Mäetamm, (Viljandi, 1965) holds a BA in Printmaking (1993) and a Masters in Fine Arts (1995), both by the Estonian Academy of Arts. Marko Mäetamm represented Estonia at the Venice Biennale in 2003 and 2007.
He is the recipient of several awards: Kristjan Raud Annual Award, Estonia (2000), Baltic Assembly Prize for the Arts (2009), and the Annual Award of the Cultural Endowment of Estonia (2011). In 2008 he was bestowed the Order of the white Star of Estonia.
